About Us

Jayne was a ten year owner of a blind and deaf Yorkie, named Petie. A short time after meeting Jayne I tired of watching him struggle with the blindness and decided to do something. After doing extension research and contacting several pet supply stores I was able to gather some ideas and with the help of an article I received from K-9 Carts was able to design the blind dog collar you see here on this site.

It made a remarkable difference in Petie's life. Unfortunately Petie died from liver failure a year ago and Jayne wanted to help others who were struggling with this problem and it lead to this website.

Jayne is a software engineer and probably one of the kindest people I have ever met. Even though she carries around a Unix book for light reading she is quite the romantic and a friend and champion to animals everywhere. I recall telling her when we were dating, "I wish I could be your dog." And so now I am; till death do we part.

I am an author and photographer. I'm not sure what to tell you about me. I guess the best way to learn about me is to check out my writing and photography at my personal website. You can also purchase my books there. The URL: www.tremble.us.

My daughter, Alex, helped with the photography of the plans and the Pointer who sat for the modeling and fitting of the blind collar is the newest addition to our family, Buddy. He is not vision impaired but wanted to do his part to help too.

On behalf of Jayne, Alex, Buddy and myself I want to thank you for visiting the website and hope you found it helpful. Please share this site and the information contained here with anyone who may find it useful. There is no greater gift you can give yourself, than giving your pet the chance to love you one more day.

Peace be with you.
Robin
